Hello!

My name’s Janelle, and I’m from sunny Arizona and vibrant Hong Kong. I’m a user experience designer driven to consciously create for the deeper needs of our communities.

I graduated from Wellesley College in 2022 with a major in Media Arts and Sciences and a concentration in Computer Science. I fell in love with UI/UX design after taking a Human-Computer Interaction course and haven’t looked back since. After graduating, I joined General Motors as a UX Designer, where I worked on cross-functional teams to solve complex user challenges.

While I enjoyed the work, I found myself wanting to better understand the business mindset and regulatory frameworks behind the products I was designing. When I had the opportunity to attend law school on a full scholarship, I took it. Though it’s undoubtedly an unconventional path toward a UX career, it has been incredibly rewarding. Legal analysis has sharpened the way I think, ask questions, and collaborate, and I know it will make me a stronger, more strategic UX designer.

I love tackling technical and creative challenges. I'm always looking for new ways to grow and improve, and I’m eager to take on projects where thoughtful design can make a difference. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat about current or future collaborations!
